The Weekend Guy is the creation of Vince Grittani who has taken the concept and developed it into a television series, comic, newspaper column, book and retail store. An award winning playwright, Vince has even written a critically acclaimed musical comedy based on the concept called "Scenes From My Dock!" which has received several productions throughout Ontario's cottage country since its premiere in 2001. This summer (2008) The Muskoka Theatre Project, (the live performance company he founded), will be restaging his  musical "Scenes From the 19th Hole... a musical round of golf"
