Vince Grittani began in the world of advertising as a copywriter and later as an account executive which somehow lead to his present occupation as an author, illustrator, award winning playwright, producer and outdoor enthusiast. He is the creator/producer and host of Weekend Guy Television now playing in several markets around the globe. Previously, he co-produced, wrote and appeared on Cottage Life Television where he gained recognition for his popular look at outdoor living with his own segment Scenes From My Dock. Following Cottage Life, Vince produced The Weekend Guy as a regular weekly segment on Life Network's Real Life along with appearing as the leisure expert on The Dini Petty Show, Canada AM and Breakfast Television. He has been a featured guest on CBC Radio's Here and Now and Toronto's AM6 40 MoJo Magazine. He has produced segments for CBC Radio sports series Inside Track and CTVs Inside Travel. In the past he has written for a number of TV projects including Sweating Bullets, Family Passions, Never-ending Story, Tales from the Crypt Keeper and Wimzie's House to mention a few. He is the author and illustrator of "The Weekend Guy: A Survival Guide" (Key Porter Books) and has been a contributing writer to The National Post, Post Homes. the Muskokan, Cottage Times and Muskoka Magazine. For the past ten years Vince has also drawn his own published weekly comic appropriately named... "The Weekend Guy". His screenplay The Grass Widow , based on his stage play Quiet! I'm Talking, was a winner at the 2003 Key West Indiefest and has been optioned several times. It is still to be produced. In 2002, he returned to his theatrical origins and founded Muskoka's only professional production company The Muskoka Theatre Project staging his award winning plays Quiet! I'm Talking and Wake Me When It's Over along with his hit musicals Scenes From My Dock , Wedding Whine and Scenes From the 19th Hole . Known for his satires, in the past he had written and directed a trilogy of musical revues spoofing the baby boomer generation including Betwixt & Between (1978) Yuppies! The Musical (1985) Quiche My What!. (1987). His plays have gone on to be produced by several other companies including Theatre Aquarius in Hamilton and Pullchain Theatre in Sault Ste. Marie. In 2008 Vince directed Norm Foster's newest romantic comedy "Old Love" starring Barbara Barsky and Merek Norman as part of the Muskoka Theatre Project summer season. And in 2009 he directed the remount of his and Rosalind Mills' Scenes From the 19th Hole ifor the Rosseau Playhouse then the Orillia Opera House. Vince lives in Muskoka with his mascot Iago where he sells Muskoka and Parry Sound cottages and homes through SP Realty in Rosseau, Ontario and continues to write and produce his comic "Simply Green" and new theatrical projects through his production company Words Talk.
