     Vince Grittani, The Weekend Guy   

       Vince Grittani is an author, illustrator, award winning playwright and outdoor enthusiast. He is also the creator, producer and writer of Weekend Guy Television. In the past he has written for a number of TV projects including Sweating Bullets, Family Passions, Never-ending Story, Tales from the Crypt Keeper and Wimzie's House.  He  co-produced and appeared  in the first fours seasons of Cottage Life Television where he gained recognition for his popular look at outdoor living with Scenes From My Dock.            

       Following Cottage Life Vince appeared  as The Weekend Guy regularly for two seasons on the Life Network's Real Life  and on The Dini Petty Show, Canada AM and Breakfast Television. He has been a featured guest on CBC Radio's Here and Now and AM640 MoJo Magazine. He has produced articles for CBC Radio sports series Inside Track and CTV’s Inside Travel. All of this has contributed to creating The Weekend Guy brand , the base for  Weekend Guy Television .

        He is the author and illustrator of "The Weekend Guy: A Survival Guide" (Key Porter Books) and has been a contributing writer to The National Post, the Muskokan, Cottage Times and Muskoka Magazine. Vince also draws his own weekly comic appropriately named...what else, "The Weekend Guy".

        In 2002, he returned to his theatrical origins and founded Muskoka's only professional production company The Muskoka Theatre Project staging his award winning play Quiet! I'm Talking  and hit musicals  Scenes From My Dock (2003), Wake Me When It's Over (2004), Wedding Whine (2006), Scenes From the 19th Hole (2007, 2008) .  Known for his satires, in the past he had written a trilogy of musical revues spoofing the baby boomer generation  including Betwixt & Between (1978)  Yuppies! The Musical (1985)  Quiche My What!.  (1987) His first screenplay   The Grass Widow , based on his stage play Quiet! I'm talking, although yet to be produced was a winner at the 2003 Key West Indiefest.

        Presently, he lives in Muskoka with his mascot Cloud where he continues to write and produce his comic, television series, new theatrical projects through his production company Words Talk  in addition to creating and producing events in preparation for Red Leaves Resort when it opens in 2008.
